We have gained planning approval for significant extensions and renovation work to a family home in a conservation area in Northwood. The proposals seek to enlarge the house with a front and rear extension and loft conversion but also upgrade its performance holistically across the whole property. The new extensions blend in with the existing brickwork but incorporate deep splayed reveals for a contemporary edge and passive shading to the glazing. A rooftop terrace affords views into the garden from the first floor bedrooms and offers an additional outdoor seating area. Technical design work is proceeding with the aim of being on site next year.
